Event Warhammer Age of Sigmar Tournament March 2026 [SunAoSMar26]

Event Rules

Each player will bring a 2000 point army using General’s Handbook 2025-26

Results will be recorded using the Best Coast Pairings app, all players must have access to this app for results reporting

The tournament will be 3 rounds.

Models are not required to be painted to participate, however models must be painted to a 3 color standard to be eligible for any painting awards.

Any proxy/count-as models must be abundantly clear what they are standing in as. You may reach out to the tournament organizer to clear your models beforehand, but in general if there is something they could be mistaken for they will not be allowed. For example:

Using Warhammer Fantasy High Elf Spearmen as Steelhelms is OK, as High Elf Spearmen no longer represent a valid unit and are reasonably similar to Steelhelms

Using Stormcast Eternal Annihilators as Chaos Chosen is OK, as long as they have been converted to look reasonably chaos-y, as Annihilators are not a valid unit choice for Slaves to Darkness and look reasonably similar to Chosen.

Using Nighthaunt Bladegheist Revenants as Grimghast Reapers is NOT OK, as both units are valid in the same army and could be confusing to your opponent.

All models must be on the correct base size.

Terrain may be moved on the table if it is impossible to place faction terrain, or if the terrain is arranged in such a way that objective placement would be invalid per the battleplan (e.g. objectives would be within 3” of terrain)

No Rules released after 2/21/2026 will be allowed.

The Organizer reserves the right to modify or ban any faction or unit that has not yet had an official GW FAQ in order to preserve a fun and balanced play experience for all involved. If your faction has not had an FAQ before 3/1/2026, either choose a different faction or bring a back-up.

This tournament is intended to be an accessible event for everyone

Be polite and considerate

Please be patient with your opponent if they are unfamiliar with the rules or with the units in your army.

Ask your opponent’s permission before touching their models

Arrive on-time and with all materials required to play your army

Scoring:

Scoring will be determined by a simple win/loss record. Tiebreakers will be determined by points scored. Each game is worth a maximum of 80 points for a total of 240 points over 3 games.

For example, if two players have a record of 3 wins and 0 losses, and one players total score is 126 points, and the other player's total score is 140 points, the player with 140 points will place higher.

Schedule:

Checkin - 9:00-9:30

Round 1 - 9:30-12:15

Lunch - 12:15-1:15

Round 2 - 1:15-4:00

Round 3 - 4:00-6:45

Awards - 6:45-7:00
